Today is Easter. There will be an egg hunt event for the children’s ministry after lunch.
Last Sunday, our church held its Annual Church Meeting. The appointment of ex officio members to the Church Board were approved with 24 votes in favor, 2 against, and 3 abstentions. In addition, Deacon Ko was elected as a Board member through a vote. Agenda Item 1 (whether, in the future, when there are multiple candidates for the
Church Board, the Annual Church Meeting should elect the required number of members by vote
instead of the nominating committee selecting a single candidate) was also approved with 23 votes
in favor and 6 against.Members of our church are also participating in the multicultural choir project and are diligently preparing for the performance. We warmly invite your participation and support. Voice of Shalom Choir Concert on Sunday, 4/19, 7 pm at AJ Gordon Chapel, Gordon College, Wenham MA.
The fellowship time format will begin operating in a new way starting today. The Women’s Ministry and the Church Board have agreed to alternate between weeks with a full meal and weeks with a lighter meal/snack. On the fourth Sunday of each month, those who participate in small groups will have their meal at their small group meeting locations. For those who are new to the church or not yet part of a small group, a simple meal will be provided at the church. On special occasions such as holidays or the church anniversary, we will gather in a potluck format. This new approach will be implemented on a trial basis for the next six months, during which we will gather feedback and make adjustments as needed.
